How to Cancel Strava in 2026
Cancel Strava on the same platform you signed up on. If you subscribed on Strava's website, cancel from your profile picture > Settings > My Account > Cancel subscription. If you subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, you have to cancel there, because Strava cannot cancel an app store subscription for you.
Short answer: Match the cancel to where the money leaves. Web signup cancels on strava.com. Apple signup cancels in iPhone Settings. Android signup cancels in the Google Play Store. Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date, or you get charged for the next term. You keep access to subscription features until the end of the period you already paid for.

Where is the Strava cancel button, really?
Here is the part people miss. The cancel button is not always inside Strava. It depends on how you paid.
Strava sells one subscription. As of June 2026 it runs about $11.99 a month or $79.99 a year, with a Family Plan around $139.99 a year and a Strava + Runna bundle around $149.99 a year. Prices change, so check your own receipt.
Three ways to have paid:
- Directly through Strava (you entered a card on the website). You cancel on strava.com.
- Through Apple (in-app purchase on an iPhone or iPad). Apple bills you. You cancel through Apple. Strava cannot do it for you.
- Through Google Play (in-app purchase on Android). Google bills you. You cancel through Google Play.
If you cancel in the wrong place, nothing happens and the next charge still lands. To check who bills you, look at your last receipt. If it came from Apple or Google, that is your app store subscription, not a Strava one.
How do I cancel Strava on the website?
This is the route if you subscribed directly on strava.com with a card. Use a laptop or desktop browser for a clean run.
- Log in to your Strava account at strava.com.
- Select your profile picture in the top right corner.
- Go to Settings.
- Open the My Account tab.
- Click Cancel subscription and confirm.
Strava may show you a save-the-subscription screen or a downgrade prompt before it lets you finish. Keep clicking through the confirmation. You are done when Strava confirms the subscription will not renew. Screenshot that confirmation.
How do I cancel Strava on iPhone (Apple App Store)?
If you signed up inside the Strava app on an iPhone or iPad, Apple is the biller. Cancelling only inside Strava will not stop the charge.
- Open the Strava app, go to the You tab, tap the gear icon, then Your Strava Subscription > Manage Your Subscription. This sends you into Apple's subscription screen.
- Or skip the app: open iPhone Settings, tap your name at the top, tap Subscriptions, select Strava, then Cancel Subscription.
- Confirm. If there is no cancel option, you already cancelled or Apple is not the biller.
Deleting the app does not cancel anything. The subscription lives in your Apple account, not on the phone.
How do I cancel Strava on Android (Google Play)?
If you signed up inside the Strava app on Android, Google Play is the biller.
- In the Strava app, open the You tab, tap the gear icon, then Your Strava Subscription > Manage Your Subscription.
- Or go straight to the Google Play Store app, tap your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions.
- Select Strava, tap Cancel subscription, and follow the prompts.
Make sure you are signed into the Google account that pays. Wrong account, no Strava in the list.
What about the Family Plan or the Strava + Runna bundle?
The bundle and Family Plan follow the same rule: cancel on the platform that charged you. If you bought the Strava + Runna plan through an app store, you manage it in that app store. Runna access is tied to that subscription, so cancelling the bundle affects both. If you bought a Runna subscription separately, that is a different cancellation. Confirm current bundle terms on Strava's help center before you assume one cancel covers both.
Will I get charged again? The 24-hour deadline
Strava auto-renews at the start of every billing period until you cancel. To skip the next charge, cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date. Inside that 24-hour window the renewal is already in motion and you may be billed for the next term.
Find your renewal date on your last receipt or on the subscription screen. Set a reminder for two days before. Do not wait for the day of.
Do I keep Strava access after I cancel?
Yes. Cancelling stops the next renewal. It does not cut you off mid-period. You keep subscription features until the end of the term you already paid for, then the account drops to the free tier. Your uploaded activities and data stay put. Cancelling does not delete your history.
Can I get a refund after cancelling?
Cancelling stops future charges. It does not automatically refund the charge you already paid. Strava's stated policy is a full refund if you request it within 14 days of purchase, and non-refundable after that. To ask, you contact Strava Support inside that 14-day window. Terms change, so read Strava's current refund policy before you count on it.
If you were charged through Apple or Google, the refund request goes to them, not Strava. Ask Apple through reportaproblem.apple.com or Google through the Play Store. If a company keeps a charge you believe was wrong and will not fix it, you can look at disputing a credit card charge with your bank. Common questions
Why can't Strava cancel my App Store subscription?
Because Apple, not Strava, is the merchant on that subscription. Strava has no button to stop an Apple or Google charge. You cancel where you were billed. Check your receipt to see who charged you.
Does deleting the Strava app cancel my subscription?
No. Deleting the app removes it from your phone but the subscription keeps billing in your Apple or Google account. You have to cancel in the app store, then delete the app if you want.
If I cancel now, do I lose Strava immediately?
No. You keep subscription features until the end of the period you already paid for. After that the account moves to the free tier. Your activities and data are not deleted.
What is the deadline to avoid the next Strava charge?
Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date. Inside that window the renewal may already be processing and you can be charged for the next term.
Can I get money back for a charge I just noticed?
Maybe. Strava's stated policy is a full refund if you ask within 14 days of purchase, and non-refundable after that, so move fast and contact Strava Support. App store charges are refunded by Apple or Google, not Strava. If nobody will fix a charge you believe is wrong, you can dispute it with your bank. Check Strava's current terms, because they can change.
Not sure whether Apple, Google, or Strava is charging you? Karen figures out the biller, cancels the subscription, and chases any refund you are owed. Outcome is not guaranteed, but you do not have to dig through three menus.
